A little piece of history that sums up Mr. Toy's feelings about his home town.
When Mr. Toy was a 8.75 years old (and he was known as "Jimmie"), his family moved away from Carmel. When he grew up, he moved back. He found this cartoon in a book at the Carmel library while doing some research on the Golden Bough theater. He made one copy for himself, and sent another to his mother.
In the 1920s the cartoon, called Reglar Fellers, was published daily in newspapers all across the country.
