P.K. And The Kid

Story: A  teenage girl from Colorado runs away from home to escape an abusive step father. She takes refuge with a young man known as The Kid who is on his way to a world championship arm wrestling competition. 

Scenery: A nearly eight minute segment starting around 38 minutes in starts off with a shot of the Monterey Canning Company building on Cannery Row, followed by a shot of The Kid's truck driving past the Custom House and onto Fisherman's Wharf. Scenes were filmed inside a fish market and a restaurant. A fight scene was filmed inside and outside of the fish processing plant at the end of the Municipal Wharf. The scenes were filmed in 1982, but the movie was not released until 1987.
