Fun
and useful information about California's most beautiful community.
"In the Bible it says that God made
the world in six days and on the seventh, rested. But I think that on
the seventh day he created the Monterey Peninsula."
- Golf writer Cal Brown
The Monterey Peninsula Toy Box is the brainchild of James
Toy, a native of Carmel, who is currently residing somewhere
nearby. We think he's in Seaside, but nobody is really sure. Anyway, he
welcomes his local neighbors along with those of you who are just
passing through.
Mr. Toy loves
the Monterey Peninsula very much and he's here to share some of his
insights, tidbits of knowledge, and have a little fun. Here and there
Mr. Toy will also express some of his humble opinions. Please do not be
alarmed. You are feel free to adopt or dismiss them as you see fit.
Every effort
is made to ensure that the information contained herein is accurate and
up to date, but sometimes things change and it may take a little time
before Mr. Toy catches on. But don't let that worry you. Most of what
you find here has withstood the test of time and tyrants.
So please
take a moment to browse through the menu below and see what
appeals. Whatever path you choose, you're bound to find a few
surprises along the way. If you ever get lost, just click
on any cypress tree and we'll bring you in.
If
you'd like,
you may write to Mr.
Toy himself. He'll even
write back. Follow Mr. Toy
